I think I have finally found utmost respect and admiration for Mr. Raj Thakre, as the only politician with a vision to efficiently solve the many problems our country is facing. Why ? Because only the genius of Mr. Raj Thakre can come up with a slogan “Don’t let outsiders in” that tackles immigration influx as well as the growing population !
Killing 2 stones with 1 bird, eh ? (Note to self : Keep it clean.)
P.S. : I always had this question, why the hell doesn’t he call himself Thakre, Mr. All-instances-of-Bombay-should-be-replaced-by-Mumbai (including Bombay Duck I presume) !
P.P.S. : The fact that he calls himself and others sons-of-the-soil makes me very curious about his scores in biology in school. Coupled with the fact that Maharashtra seems to be at the forefront in opposing sex-education in schools. Hmmm .. makes sense actually.
P.P.S. (seriously) : I have been planning to post a longer, more-politically-correct post on this issue, which I hope I’ll be doing soon.

Very valid point. I would probably go further and say that you will find instances of such incidences in ancient history too.
But there is a reason why the time in our clocks moves incrementally. And there was a somebody called a Gandhi who had stated “An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind”.
Oh and about the state you are talking about (assuming you know me enough), I am happy to see that their policies decades ago are biting them only now. I wouldn’t like to see that happen in our state.
