Some random thoughts as I drive towards Seattle from the Bay Area in one of my longest roadtrips until now.
- Few things can beat driving while listening to music.
- Add old Hindi film songs to the above equation and the feeling becomes more inexplicable.
- Oregon is quite soothing with it’s endless green pastures and mountain ranges.
- Mt. Shasta, near which we halted for the night, is majestic and almost staggering. Hope to be at the top some day.
- Getting the glimpse of a peak for me is equivalent to someone visiting a temple.
- You can never beat the Americans and Europeans at dedication and commitment at an outdoor activity. I just strive to be decently good at them. I saw people hiking with skis around Mt. Shasta just to ski down, people mountain biking, hiking in the bad weather – age/sex no bar. I have done a few of these things before, but I am sure I am not as passionate about any single activity.
- ‘Born to run’ is too big a phrase but I am getting closer.
That’s all for now.
