Dr. Watsa’s troubles begin.

Plenty of discussion has gone into India’s crash out of the Champions trophy. I do not wish to add to the noise, so check out Prem Panicker’s post.

I shall do some meta-thinking though. Guess whose life is going to be a living hell now that India has been kicked out of the Champions trophy ?

M.S. Dhoni ?
Virender Sehwag ?
Harbhajan Singh ?
Gary Kirsten ?

I’ll be betting on Dr. Mahendra Watsa. He is going to get more than just a few queries about what went wrong in the tournament.

Expect replies like, “You might be a great player and even if you aren’t cool enough to carry off Kirsten’s advice, you shouldn’t have stopped your solo net practice.”

*******

It was amusing how Indian fans were rooting for Pakistan and annoyed that Pakistan lost. Then there was the media, that endlessly played stories of how Indian fans would be rooting for Pakistan this one day, enough to make studio audiences of a sitcom go, “Awwwww”.

Here’s the thing. If you have to support another team to see your team go through, your team doesn’t deserve to go through.

Yeah, I did add to the noise after all.
