And what kind of a people add the sponsor in the team name ?

I think adding SAHARA to the team name was not really necessary…eveyone knows who are the owners of particular team

Ah! such a crapoholic name. What if after 5 years someone buys the Pune warriors? I can’t wait to see the bowlers give a Sahara pranam to the batsmen. Yeah, take that.
Hopefully Kochi will not name their IPL team Rendezvous Kochi Kuriyakose or something

The middle Pune is only incidental! They would have kept only Sahara warriors if they could.

Many teams have their own brand name in the Team name:
case 1: Team Hyderabad = Deccan Chargers, owned by a certain newspaper Deccan Chronicle
Case 2: Royal Challengers Bangalore: Owned by UB group whose Royal Challenge brand is very popular ( apparently Bangalore bagpipers name was rejected by the BCCI)
Case 3: Chennai Super Kings: Owned by India Cements, which has Coromandel King as its flagship brand of cement!
So its normal and a part and parcel of the Franchise system !
