I’m hoping you haven’t forgotten that the earth be facing frequent solar flares in 2012. The sun shot off a powerful flare yesterday from a region that is notorious for flares. It wasn’t facing the earth so we were safe. However, the earth will be facing this very region in five days time, for two whole weeks. Hang tight.

The big bang, huge galaxies, black holes etc though being immensely unfathomable still make sense but space-time, parallel universes, dark energy etc just seem so contradictory to our common experiences
