There are a few good things about the United States but healthcare is not one of them. This infographic compares its healthcare with other ‘wealthy nations’. U.S. is last. The cliché of healthcare cost being cheaper if you travel to India or Mexico is factually true. I know of a person who was charged $1400 for a tetanus shot.

I must mention though that it is a bigger problem for those without health insurance, although there are known cases where having health insurance  hasn’t proved any better. Either way — whether you don’t have insurance or your provider refuses to pay for your particular problem — getting treated without insurance is almost not possible.
