Some more news from Mt. Everest: This weekend might be the last window to for a summit attempt. 200 climbers are waiting on its slopes for the final push. It’s not good.

As I said earlier, it doesn’t matter that a few climbers died last weekend under similar conditions. At this moment, inside each tent at Camp IV, a guide is probably prepping his clients and planning to leave as early as possible on summit day to avoid rush. It won’t matter; even the earliest climbers will be stuck for a while on the way down.

I’m wishing for no bad news on Monday.
